The ASSP recently announced that SafeStart’s Senior Consultant, Tim Page-Bottorff, has been elected to a three-year term as a Director-at-Large of the ASSP’s Board of Directors.
I am thrilled that I was elected Director-at-Large for the ASSP,” says Page-Bottorff. “I have a long-standing passion for safety and the ASSP, and I also bring a wealth of experience from serving on the Society Finance Committee for the past three years, on the Council on Region Affairs (CORA) for the past six years, Regional Vice President of Region II for the past six years, and serving on the Standards Committee for ANSI Z490.1. My military background, in addition to my experience on other councils and committees, will prove effective to support the strategic vision set out by the board.
Page-Bottorff is among three other leaders that will join the ASSP Board of Directors’ top elected positions (senior vice president and two directors-at-large). According to the ASSP, candidates for the board must be professional members who possess specific qualifications. The criteria include involvement in an ASSP committee or task force, a record of positive contributions to the occupational safety and health profession, support and understanding of the Society’s vision, and being an effective motivator who is results-driven.
This is just one more accomplishment that puts Page-Bottorff on the next level for safety. In addition to all of the positions he holds for various safety initiatives, he was the ASSP Safety Professional of the Year winner in 2018, he was also presented the National Safety Council’s Distinguished Service to Safety Award (DSSA), and as a United States Marine (where he started his safety career) he earned the Humanitarian Service Medal.
Page-Bottorff shares his safety knowledge through training and in industry magazines and online and is also the author of The Core of Four: 4 Tools To Navigate Roadblocks To Great Human Performance.
We can’t wait to see what this next chapter brings, congratulations Tim!
