SafeStart Awards Grand Prize Winner from PepsiCo

Simran Shergill of PepsiCo is a SafeStart Awards Program grand prize winner for taking SafeStart home. After careful deliberation, Simran selected the 600-point shopping spree from the Award of Excellence catalog—resulting in Simran choosing the 32” Samsung Smart TV as her prize. Presenting the award is PepsiCo’s Site Manager Mahmoud Megahed from the company’s Nova Scotia site.

There is one Grand Prize winner drawn every quarter by random selection. The winner can choose a dream vacation or a shopping spree (equivalent value to the vacations) from the SafeStart Award of Excellence catalog.

The SafeStart Awards program isn’t just for employees, and every time a SafeStart trainee takes SafeStart home they can select up to four other people (such as a spouse, children, grandchildren or youth group members) to participate in the awards program. In addition to the grand prizes, there are hundreds of instant prizes to be won.

The Home and Awards program helps safety professionals, trainers and the company’s leaders and supervisors build employee engagement and motivation for working on their SafeStart skills and habits 24/7, which translates into safer workplaces.

It takes time to teach your loved ones about safety and people are often skeptical about contests in general. It requires leaders to go first, set the example and communicate their experience and it takes advocates to get everyone on board and excited about safety. And for those people and companies who help workers protect themselves and their families using this program, we are always inspired and grateful to share their success. Thank you and congratulations to everyone at PepsiCo in Nova Scotia, Canada.
