This April, safety professionals have a chance to immerse themselves in two days of professional development. The 2019 Safety Summit offers information on the latest risk management/OSHA compliance developments, best practices and practical strategies to improving safety performance.

Attendees can learn, network, meet thought leaders and listen to engaging speakers such as Joe Tantarelli, whose keynote session on April 10 at 8:20 a.m. is titled Buried Alive: A Survivor’s Story.

Joe describes the day when he was nearly buried alive in a trench that suddenly collapsed on him. He will talk about the simple safety skills that can be applied to avoid injuries like the ones that happened to him. Joe will also focus on the importance of on- and off-the-job safety training and discuss how human factors training can significantly reduce the risk of injury.

As usual, this annual EHS Daily Advisor Event includes an additional day of pre-conference workshops, allowing for even more learning and networking opportunities. It also aims to recognize companies and safety professionals that make their workplaces safer.
