ENAP Magallanes in Chile recently delivered SafeStart to 80 students from Instituto Don Bosco with the aim of improving students’ safety skills before they enter the workforce next year.
SafeStart collaborates in the educational process by giving young people a very useful tool that will help in their future performance in the workplace. The students were trained in 8 full SafeStart sessions, covering topics like safety risk, critical errors, dangerous states like rushing, frustration, fatigue and complacency, critical error reduction techniques, and how to look out for your co-workers and family.
The certificate ceremony was attended by Mr Francisco Diaz, the manager of ENAP Magallanes, Don Luis Velásquez Aguilar, the rector of the Don Bosco Institute, several ENAP trainers who participated in this initiative, and teachers and students from the Don Bosco Institute.
Karin Escárate, Jose Carcamo, Juan Ojeda, Ximena Eagle, Jorge Mancilla and Gonzalo Montero were some of the ENAP employees who trained the students and presented the certificates during the ceremony. Don Luis Velasquez offered his sincere appreciation to the national oil company for picking their school for this course.
