A Certified Safety Professional with close to 40 years’ progressive experience in leading corporate safety, health and environmental programs in manufacturing, chemical, steel, hazardous waste, oil and gas, asset management, and telecommunications industries.
Tom has developed numerous safety training courses and delivered hundreds of training sessions, reaching thousands of employees across a wide range of industries. He is known for his ability to work with anyone at any level. In previous positions, he has empowered his team members with his leadership, support, and tools, enabling them to effectively collaborate with operations and drive a safety culture, as well as improve performance. Tom demonstrates a strong track record of safety results and motivates others to drive toward and achieve a common goal with close coordination with contributing functional areas.
Tom holds a BS in Safety Management from Slippery Rock University. Notable career achievements include being appointed to serve on the Commission on Oil and Natural Gas Industry Safety by West Virginia Governor Earl Ray Tomblin. He also received the Chairman’s Council Award for Safety-Kleen.
