With more than 45 years of manufacturing experience, David has built expertise across operations, engineering, quality, information technology, and safety leadership. His career has included roles ranging from programming CNC machinery to leading manufacturing engineering and quality teams, as well as overseeing information technology operations and a corporate data center. This broad operational background gives him a unique perspective on the challenges organizations face when implementing change and driving sustainable performance improvement.
In his last 12 years before retirement, David specialized in safety management systems and human factors implementation. During this time, he helped organizations strengthen safety culture, improve leadership engagement, and integrate human factors principles into daily operations. He performed site implementations and led a global implementation for a company with 20,000 employees. His work has focused on helping leaders and employees better understand how human behavior influences risk, decision-making, and operational outcomes.
Through consulting, coaching, and implementation support, he has built practical strategies that improve safety, reliability, and overall organizational effectiveness. David also helps shape the next generation of leaders by sharing his professional expertise with undergraduate students through personalized one-on-one mentorship.
