NAOSH Week Success

This year’s North American Occupational Safety and Health (NAOSH) Week was a great success.

NAOSH Week is intended to raise awareness about occupational safety, health and the environment. We contributed to this awareness in part by being the ASSE’s Premier NAOSH Week Sponsor, but also by conducting a series of safety presentations in conjunction with schools and Chambers of Commerce in Western Canada.

Dr. Doug Nelson and Jim Grieve presented SafeStart concepts in numerous sessions to hundreds of students throughout the week. The awareness even made front page news in the Hinton Parklander (please read the article for details).

Our support for NAOSH will continue at the ASSE’s Safety 2012 national conference, where we will take part in the NAOSH Awards ceremony on Sunday, June 3rd at noon. If you’re attending the conference, please plan to attend the ceremony.

We will also be sponsoring the program in 2013. Please show your support for safety by investigating NAOSH Week 2013 for your company and community.

If you would like to book one of our SafeStart speakers for a NAOSH event next year, please contact our events manager, Ruth Steeves at ruth.s@safestart.com.
